I'm so tired of hearing "no wonder your photography's so good, you have a good camera" or "my photography only sucks because I have a shitty camera".  I'll lay it to you straight - a camera is only as good as its photographer.  It's a tool in creating the piece of art, not what creates the art.  Think about it, great photographers will take great pictures with a pinhole camera, and shitty photographers will take shitty pictures with that fancy Canon Rebel they have.  It's not the camera, but the person. I recently got back from a vacation in New York City, and I have many pictures to upload from it, a good deal many of those being artistic photographs.  Also, in this vacation, I made it to Boston and Cape Cod.  I have pictures from there as well. The problem is that I work almost every day and have had no time since getting home to sort through all of the digital photographs.  So, please bear with me and I promise some serious updates are coming just as soon as I can manage to not get called in on my next day off. I feel like I've hit a moot point with myself in terms of my art. I look through my favorites, and I see such beauty.  Then, I look through my gallery and I see that I can do better, I know I can.  I just feel like I'm not there yet, and I'm not sure how to get there. I strive to do my best, and I often feel short. I cleaned out gallery a bit, too.  I changed it to be the pieces that some part of me still like.  Of course, I keep striving for more.
